Halloween...George Lucas Style

We had quite the Star Wars representation this year. Everyone else talked me into letting Elliot be Yoda, despite the fact that I wanted him to be something like a puppy, or a chicken, or maybe a teddy bear, at least while we still have a say in it, right? Here they are...Princess Leah, storm trooper, and Yoda...in full force! Yoda did end up being pretty cute. (One of the neighbors works for Hershey's, and gave these huge candy bars out to all the kids!! So nice!)

Fall in the Midwest...

Wow! Lots of fun this Fall out here in Minnesota! We were able to do a quick, weekend trip "up north" with Dan, Angie and Samuel....it was a blast! We hit Duluth and Lutsen, as well as many little spots in between. The kids had a blast...Star Wars hike in the woods, alpine slide, sleeping in a train hotel, hiking waterfalls, etc. Good mems. Then Tim and I hit Chicago this last weekend for a little work/relaxation trip. What a fabulous city! Lots of walking and shopping, as well as sightseeing and playing tourist! Got to hit the Gospel Breakfast at the House of Blues, which was a highlight! The kids did well here with gramps and grammy, and Elliot was especially excited to see "da-da" when we got back. (Still mad at me for leaving him the last time, I think!)

Ok, this is my attempt at blogging without my husband's help! We'll see how it goes! I thought it would be fun for all of you to be able to come on and see the latest with the kids when you had time. I'm hoping to do pix too, which may require assistance! Anyway, let's see how we do...
